Selected for the MIC "ICT Startup League"

Our Spinometer project was selected for the ICT Startup League, a startup support program run by Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC). Only 62 of 310 applicants nationwide were selected.

The selection was announced on July 11, 2025 at UPDATE EARTH Summer, a startup event held at Deloitte Tohmatsu in Marunouchi, Tokyo, and was featured on Fuji TV news. With hands-on support from the MIC, we will accelerate development and adoption.

The principle behind Spinometer was published in PLOS One

The posture-estimation principle behind Spinometer passed rigorous peer review and was published in PLOS One, an international multidisciplinary science journal.

This recognition confirms the medical and scientific soundness of Spinometer.

Grand Prize and Approach Award at MATSUE Tech-Product Award 2025

Spinometer won both the Grand Prize and the Approach Award at MATSUE Tech-Product Award 2025, an IT business contest hosted by Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture.

The contest evaluates IT product ideas and their commercialization on creativity, problem solving, quality and quantity of activity, feasibility, and presentation. Ten finalists, selected from 62 entries, presented to judges from industry.

Spinometer was highly rated for its accuracy and its feasibility in solving a social problem. Special judge and Matsue Mayor Akihito Uesada commented that it is "software that can be put to practical use early, for example in workforce health management, and expectations are high."
